Mahi Khatun, a IO-years old orphan who the affection of her mother at the age of 3, received the attention of SAW AB way back in 2019 under ‘My Orphan Project’ of MGR. Mili Khatun, the mother of Mahi was a housewife who died in a road accident in 2015. Now, there are four members in her family. Mr. Chand Ali father of Mahi is a destitute man without enough property to carry all the family expenses, while the demise of his wife made his as well as all children’s life miserable. Consequently, Mahi left her school.

One day Mahi’ s father met one of the representatives of SAW AB in 2019 and became motivated to resume his daughter’s schooling. As a result, Mahi was excited and very happy to restart her journey of education again.

In spite of all her misfortunes, Mahi Khatun has performed exceptionally well in her academic year. Now, she reads in Class IV at Bonshitola Govt. Primary School of Bonshitola, Kamlapur, under shtia District. She aspires to become a teacher after finishing her academic life. She also expressed her desire to assist impoverished children to pave their way for education.

Mahi Khatun is being offered educational needs, a good amount of food, and other necessary things for her family by Muslim Global Relief (MGR) in a secure environment. Orphans like Mahi receive port and assistance from experienced teachers and caregivers to help with their homework and day-to-day problems.

Mahi narrated her feelings of gratitude to MGR and its donors, “I was too young when my mother breathed her last and left me in this world alone. It was too tough to live a life without my mother, I was not fortunate enough to grow up in the arms of my mother. But now, I am lucky and happy to receive support from MGR. I extend my heartfelt gratitude and pray for SA WAB and MGR for their kind and generous support. “
