Rini Maya Akter, a 16-years old girl, had been enlisted in the list of SA WAB orphans back in 2019. The premature demise of her father left the family in dire vulnerability. During her father’s death, she was a preteen of 10 years. Now, there are four members in her family including her mother. Her mother had to struggle a lot to manage their sustenance as there were no bread earners in her family. Poverty had left her in a life with no dreams to see and almost dropped out of school. When she met one of the representatives of SA WAB in 2019 and was motivated to restart her schooling, she was excited and very much happy.

In spite of all her family setbacks, Rini Maya Akter has excelled academically. Now she is in Class IX at Najirganj High School & College of Sujangor, under the Pabna district of Rajshahi division. She desires to become a teacher after completing her academic life. She also aspires to assist poor and underprivileged children to pave their way for education.

Rini Maya Akter is being offered educational needs, a good amount of food, and other necessary things for her family by Muslim Global Relief (MGR) in a secure environment. Orphans like Rini receive support and assistance from experienced teachers and caregivers to help with their homework and day-to-day problems.

Rini Maya states her feelings of gratitude to MGR and their donors, “I was left with horrible feelings of dreamlessness when my father passed away. It was only my mother who was held responsible as our bread earners. After a struggle of three years with poverty I, luckily, met SAWAB and became enlisted as its orphan. I extend my deep-hearted gratitude and pray for MGR and SAWAB for their generous support.”
