SAWAB Provides Food Aid to 1000 Slum Families and Vital Support for Orphans in Dhaka’s Tejgaon and Bosila
In a focused effort to uplift vulnerable communities, SAWAB recently extended one-month food supplies to 1000 families in Dhaka’s Tejgaon and Bosila slum areas and provided essential support for orphans. Each family received a 25 kg package of rice, alongside other vital items, while orphans benefited from nutritious meals, clothing, and necessary resources to support their health and dignity. This initiative, made possible through the invaluable support of dedicated donors, meets the urgent needs of these underserved communities.
The distribution events, held on October 26, 2024, in the Tejgaon and Bosila slum areas, were organized by SAWAB representatives, local community leaders, and volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure that the aid reached those most in need. Each family received a comprehensive food package designed to last for a month, while orphans were provided with items essential for their well-being, underscoring SAWAB’s commitment to the welfare of all beneficiaries.
SAWAB’s Chairman, S. M. Rasheduzzaman, was joined by key team members, including Director of Operations Mohammad Aftabuzzaman, Program Manager Mohammad Lokman Hossain Talukdar, and Deputy Manager of Fundraising & IT Md. Khorshed Alam, as well as local supporters and volunteers who stood together to encourage and support the recipients.
