In Joypurhat, a distribution event was organized by the SAWAB Bangladesh to ensure the certainty of pure water supply through the distribution of well equipment among 250 families affected by the lack of facilities in Panchbibi, funded by Muslim Hands UK.

On Sunday afternoon, Khurshed Alam, the Co-Coordinator of the organization, presided over the distribution ceremony at the Textile Mill Ground. The chief guest was Obaidur Rahman, the Women’s Affairs Officer of the Upazila. Special guests included Habibur Rahman, the Social Welfare Officer of the Upazila, Nuruzzaman Chowdhury Biplab, Chairman of Balighata Union Parishad, Mamunur Rashid Milton, Chairman of Aymarsulpur Union Parishad, Ayesha Akhtar, Secretary of SDS, Mir Rezaul Karim, the Editor of the Awami League district, and Abu Sayed Molla, Senior Program Officer of the SAWAB Bangladesh (JHODI). In the end, the Chief and Special Guests distributed well equipment and tools among 250 families affected by the lack of facilities in the eight unions of the Upazila.

Khurshed Alam, the Co-Coordinator of SAWAB Bangladesh, informed that among the distributed equipment, there are 1 well, 6 pipes of 85 feet with 3 inches boring and Vaticle pipes. Additionally, to construct the well’s wall, materials such as cement, bricks, and mistri’s fees are provided. The necessary expenses for these activities are supported by the organization. The ongoing initiative aims to contribute to the well-being of those affected by the lack of facilities, and our organization will continue such programs progressively for the welfare of the affected people.
