As part of its expanded Climate Change Adaptation and Awareness Development Program, SAWAB Bangladesh has officially launched a nationwide tree plantation and environmental awareness campaign, starting in Bogura district and extending across all regions of Bangladesh. The initiative focuses on planting fruit-bearing and medicinal trees while educating communities on the importance of environmental conservation, sustainability, and climate resilience.
Facing the rising challenges of climate change, SAWAB’s officers and dedicated volunteers are planting trees not just for the environment—but for livelihoods, health, and future generations. Each tree is a symbol of hope, offering future food, shade, medicine, and a stronger bond between people and nature.
“We have started not only by planting trees, but by growing awareness across Bangladesh,” said a SAWAB representative. “It’s about building a culture of environmental responsibility at every level.”
This initiative is part of SAWAB’s broader goal to build a greener, healthier, and more climate-resilient Bangladesh. The program equips communities with both knowledge and practical tools to fight environmental degradation and promote sustainability—by linking climate adaptation with food security, traditional healing, and long-term ecological balance.
