The construction of Sawab’s 11th mosque has officially commenced in Choto Lilahali Bazar, Zianagar Union, Dupchachia Upazila, Bogura district. The inauguration ceremony took place today, Saturday, February 15, 2025, marking a significant milestone for the devout Muslim community in the area.
The mosque will cover an area of 1,440 square feet and will feature state-of-the-art facilities, including a modern ablution area, a separate room for the Imam, and well-equipped restrooms, all designed with an aesthetically pleasing architectural style. For a long time, the central marketplace, serving eight surrounding villages, lacked a mosque, creating a significant challenge for the local Muslim community. Sawab’s initiative has been warmly welcomed and deeply appreciated by the residents.
The inauguration event was presided over by Sawab’s General Manager, Lokman Hossain Talukder, and conducted by the Mosque Committee Secretary, Moyez Uddin. The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Advocate Ataur Rahman Moktar, President of the Bogura District Bar Association, who attended as the chief guest. The keynote address was delivered by Noor Mohammad Abu Taher, Chairman of Gunahar Union Parishad.

Distinguished guests included Abdul Mohit Talukder, a prominent social worker; Md. Shahidul Islam, President of the Mosque Committee; Abu Sayeed Mollah, Assistant Manager of Sawab; and Peyar Ahmed, Project Officer at Sawab, along with other respected community leaders and dignitaries.
The event was attended by approximately 500 worshippers and guests, who praised Sawab’s commendable efforts and prayed for the successful completion of the mosque and the further promotion of religious activities.
For years, the absence of a mosque in the market area posed difficulties for many worshippers, particularly traders, shoppers, and residents of nearby villages. With the realization of this long-awaited project, the local Muslim community will now have a dedicated space to observe their religious practices conveniently and peacefully.
To commemorate the occasion, a prayer gathering (Dua Mahfil) and a special food distribution (Tabarruk) were organized, where attendees prayed for the mosque’s successful completion and for the prosperity and harmony of the region.
The local community and worshippers expressed profound gratitude to Sawab for this noble initiative and called for the continuation of such humanitarian projects in the future.
