On 22 November 2025, SAWAB organized a comprehensive staff capacity-building training titled “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” at the SAWAB Conference Room in Dhaka. The session marked an important step in strengthening SAWAB’s culture of professionalism, values, and service to humanity.
The program was formally inaugurated by Our Honorable Chairman, S. M. Rasheduzzaman, who highlighted the importance of personal discipline, integrity, and continuous self-development for all staff engaged in humanitarian and development work. In his opening remarks, he emphasized that meaningful change in communities begins with positive change within individuals and institutions.

The training was facilitated by Md. Monir Hossain, Certified Learning and Development Professional and Senior Manager – HR & Admin, T. K. Group of Industries. The session was designed around the globally renowned framework from Dr. Stephen R. Covey’s book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”, one of the most influential works on leadership and personal effectiveness. Participants were guided through core habits such as being proactive, beginning with the end in mind, putting first things first, thinking win–win, seeking first to understand, synergizing, and continuous self-renewal.
This training is not only about skills or productivity – it is about transforming mindsets, strengthening values, and preparing the SAWAB team to serve humanity with even more sincerity, discipline, and excellence. Through interactive discussions, real-life case examples, and reflective exercises, staff explored how these principles can be applied in their daily responsibilities, project management, teamwork, and communication with beneficiaries and partners.
Participants shared that the session inspired them to realign their personal and professional goals, improve time management, and enhance collaboration across departments. SAWAB believes that such investments in staff development will directly contribute to more impactful, accountable, and compassionate services for vulnerable communities in Bangladesh and beyond.
