Distributing 100 wheelchairs to disabled individuals in Koyra, Khulna
SAWAB Bangladesh, a distinguished non-profit organization, recently undertook a significant initiative by distributing 100 wheelchairs to disabled individuals in Koyra, Khulna. This event highlights SAWAB’s commitment to enhancing mobility and quality of life for those with disabilities in underserved regions. By providing these essential aids, SAWAB aims to empower recipients, offering them greater independence and integration into society. This initiative not only reflects our dedication to humanitarian aid but also fosters a sense of community and support among the beneficiaries, thereby strengthening the social fabric of Koyra.
The wheelchair distribution event took place at two locations in Koira Upazila: 50 wheelchairs were given out at Kapotaksh College Field and another 50 at the Upazila Field. The event was graced by Mohammad Rashiduzzaman, Member of Parliament for Khulna-6, who attended as the chief guest. Under the leadership of Mezbuddin and the chairmanship of program manager Md. Lokman Hossain Talukdar, the event saw the presence of several dignitaries, including the President and Secretary of Koyra Peace Club, the Police in Charge of Koyra Upazila, the Secretary of Upazila Awami League, the Honorable Chairman of Uttar Bedkashi Union, the Chairman of Maheshwaripur Union, and Abu Saeed Mollah, Assistant Manager of SAWAB.
Additionally, Sardar Abu Hasan, the Koyra Project Coordinator, and all volunteers from SAWAB’s Koyra team participated in the event, ensuring its smooth execution and success. The distribution of wheelchairs marks another milestone in SAWAB’s ongoing commitment to supporting and uplifting communities throughout Bangladesh.
